Prepare to be transported back to Rydell High’s senior year in the summer of 1959 as Mystery Cinema brings the magic of Christmas to life with its one-of-a-kind immersive production. This summer, audiences will have the chance to experience the iconic musical in Birmingham like never before. 2023 Secret Cinema’s first event and their opening show in Demeke City.
From July 26 to August 13, the NEC in Birmingham will transform into Rydell High, roaring with excitement as the US National Bandstand Dance Competition approaches. Audiences will have the opportunity to roam the school hallways with the Pink Ladies, witness the T-Birds at work in the auto shop, and challenge pranks on the sports field. As day turns to night, fans can sing and dance along to classic movie soundtracks, culminating in an enhanced viewing experience of the beloved musical.
Mysterious Cinema has produced more than 70 productions around the world for more than 15 years, captivating audiences and earning a reputation as a pioneer in the history of cinematic storytelling. Their unique approach blurs the lines between performance, audience, composition and reality to create immersive worlds that transport participants to unforgettable film experiences.
