The Biden administration hit back Thursday after a series of public statements ahead of the bank holiday weekend.
On Thursday afternoon, the White House released a long-awaited report on the consequences of President Biden’s decision to withdraw troops from Afghanistan in August 2021. Hours later, the Education Department released a new Title IX rule that expands the gender definition. Discrimination. Stop schools banning transgender athletes.
Also on Thursday, the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) released a 150-page plan to use the new resources of the Depreciation Act. Buried in the document, the Treasury Department said it would act first after Feb. 17, when the IRS admits spending $45.6 billion on additional checks and tax audits.

In response, Kirby said the White House report is a collection of classified reports compiled by individual defense agencies, “responsible” and “the end of a terrible job.”

The administration was unhappy that the next amendment to Title IX would open the door to state-funded schools and colleges and allowing transgender students to play team sports.
South Dakota Gov. Christy Nom, a Republican, has threatened to sue the state, saying “women’s sports are for women only.”

And the IRS has been criticized for announcing a $45.6 billion tax and audit fund. The repeal bill boosted the IRS budget by $80 billion and allowed the agency to hire tens of thousands of new officers. In early January, the House of Representatives approved a bill to cancel $70 billion in aid.
